About the Role
We are currently seeking a Cyclic Operator to join our Tauranga team and contribute to the TCC Maintenance whānau. In this role, you will conduct daily network inspections and perform essential maintenance to ensure our roads are safe and well-maintained. Your proactive approach and commitment to putting people first will help you forge strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and the broader community.
What You Will Be Doing
You can expect a varied and hands-on workload, including:
- Responding to urgent health and safety issues, such as accident debris clean-up and addressing network hazards
- Conducting pothole repairs, fixing edge breaks, and replacing edge or culvert marker posts
- Performing quick-fix concrete repairs to maintain safety
- Installing and maintaining signage, as well as cleaning signs and removing graffiti
- Managing traffic for designated roads
- Overseeing vegetation management in key areas
- Performing sight rail maintenance and repairs
- Utilizing RAMM technology to log and complete tasks
- Engaging in emergency response and storm clean-up efforts
- Addressing minor yet significant issues to keep our roads functioning smoothly
- Participating in our on-call roster every six weeks
