Dairy Assistant

About the Company Kenmare Dairy is a family-run dairy farm located in the picturesque South Island of New Zealand. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and community, and we are currently seeking a Dairy Assistant to join our team starting in early to mid-July 2025. About the Role In this role, you will assist in the daily operations of our dairy farm. Your responsibilities will include milking, monitoring animal health, supporting calving processes, managing weed control, and planting and maintaining our farm gardens and hedges. We are looking for someone with basic dairy farming experience who is available for a minimum of three months. There is potential for a longer-term position for those interested. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your farming skills while gaining exposure to advanced technology such as Halter. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in the role. Our farm is situated near Culverden, which is just over an hour north of Christchurch and 40 minutes from the popular Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve. You will be part of a supportive team of six or more staff members in an area known for its beautiful outdoor activities. Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants must currently be in New Zealand, possess a valid working holiday visa, and have a strong command of the English language.
