About the Role
We are currently seeking an Apprentice Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our Rotorua Branch. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our team as we expand our offerings, having recently become the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery.
In this role, you will receive on-the-job training to help you achieve your qualification. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and eager to build a future with CablePrice. Our investment in employees includes ongoing coaching, training, career development, and a focus on promoting from within.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, we would like you to bring the following skills and attributes:
- A strong commitment to health and safety, which we prioritize above all else.
- A passion for the industry and a positive attitude, characterized by ambition and determination.
- A mechanical mindset with good observational skills.
- Basic written communication skills and a fundamental understanding of mathematics.
- The energy and focus to study for MITO credits.
- Relevant industry experience through work experience, pre-trade courses, or similar avenues would be advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license, with at least six months of holding a restricted license.
- A resilient, 'can do' attitude that aligns with our values of toughness, reliability, and productivity.
