    About the Company Tradestaff Global is excited to invite expressions of interest from skilled tradespeople for an extraordinary opportunity to work at McMurdo Station in Antarctica during the upcoming summer season. This unique location offers an experience like no other, combining challenging work with breathtaking scenery. About the Role The summer season runs from October 2025 to March 2026, with deployments beginning in October. While return dates are yet to be confirmed, candidates should be prepared for an extended stay in one of the most remote and beautiful places in the world. We are looking for dedicated team players willing to engage in various construction roles on a significant commercial building project. Positions available include: - Interior Finishing Carpenters (Trade Qualified) - Ceilings & Interior Fitout Builders (Trade Qualified) - Tile Installers - Plasterers / Drywall Installers - Painters (Trade Qualified) This is an excellent opportunity for those who have always wanted to take on a challenge in a remarkable environment. Requirements Please note that due to travel regulations, only New Zealand and U.S. citizens with valid passports who are currently residing and working in New Zealand may apply. Candidates must be willing to receive the Flu, Tdap, and MMR vaccinations. It is important to understand that these roles do not operate on a fly-in fly-out basis. You will be committed to long hours, working six days a week. Start dates are approximate and contingent on passing medical and dental checks, obtaining security clearance, and confirming your notice period and availability for flights to the ice. Additionally, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and possess a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence along with a clean criminal record. If you need to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental exams, we will cover the costs of testing and flights if you are coming from outside the Bay of Plenty. Benefits We offer a competitive pay rate of $66.11 per hour on a contract basis, with payment made fortnightly in New Zealand dollars for a 54-hour work week. We provide flights from any major New Zealand airport, food, shared accommodation, and travel insurance. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will also be supplied.
