About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Account Manager with strong design capabilities to join our team in Albany, Auckland. This full-time position is perfect for someone who excels at the intersection of client management and creative development. You will utilize your retail design expertise to support key clients and ensure exceptional project outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will interpret client briefs and transform them into clear and compelling conceptual designs. You will develop and present innovative design solutions for a diverse range of clients and projects. Creating engaging visual concepts, layouts, and presentations for client approval will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Collaboration is vital, as you will work closely with our in-house team to convert concepts into detailed production drawings. It is essential to ensure that all design work aligns with each client's brief, brand identity, and budget. You will manage project timeframes, budgets, invoicing, and overall account delivery, overseeing multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously with precision and professionalism.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in retail design and proven experience in key account management, particularly with high-end or premium clients. The ability to work up to 50 hours per week when required is important.
A qualification in Industrial Design, Spatial/Interior Design, or equivalent retail design experience is preferred. We value a track record of success in both design and account management roles. The ideal candidate will be driven, well-presented, organized, and team-oriented.
Experience in the shop-fitout industry is highly beneficial. You should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently. Proficiency in CAD software (such as SketchUp, Vectorworks, or Rhino) and competency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator) are required.
