About the Company At Eyrewell Dairy, we are committed to raising the next generation of healthy and happy calves. Our team is dedicated to animal care and ensuring that our calves thrive. We operate a 400 effective hectare farm, milking 950 cows through a 60-bale rotary process, and we also rear heifer replacement calves. Located conveniently, we are just ten minutes from Oxford and twenty-five minutes from Rangiora, providing easy access to a variety of recreational activities. About the Role We are currently looking for individuals who are either traveling around New Zealand seeking a fun, hands-on role or seasoned calf rearers who want to join our fantastic team. In this position, you will be responsible for feeding our calves and ensuring their overall well-being. If you have a genuine passion for animal care, this is an excellent opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact. This is a drive-in/drive-out role, so you will need to arrange your own accommodation and have reliable transport. The position runs from August to the end of October, with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week, and there is potential for more hours depending on seasonal needs and your preferences. Requirements We welcome applicants with varying levels of experience. What matters most is a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine concern for animal welfare. You will need to bring the following: - A willingness to learn and try new things - A caring attitude towards animals and their well-being - Experience in calf rearing or farming is preferred but not essential - The ability to work independently and as part of a team - A restricted or full driver’s license - Your own transport and accommodation Benefits This role offers a great opportunity to gain practical farming skills while being supported by a friendly team. You will be compensated competitively and gain real-world experience that can open doors for your future. Apply Now Applications will close on Sunday, July 20, 2025. We will begin interviewing applicants as they come in, so don't hesitate to apply. For more details about the role, please reach out to Mahraaz Hussein, our Farm Manager, at 027 801 9512 during business hours (8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday). Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must be available for an in-person interview and possess unrestricted legal rights to work in New Zealand. We are unable to accept applicants on temporary work visas for permanent opportunities. Pāmu is dedicated to providing a safe workplace.
