About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced farm worker to join a well-managed dairy farm located in Temuka. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with solid tractor experience. The role includes a diverse range of responsibilities, from tractor operations to assisting with milking and general farm activities. An immediate start is available for the right candidate. Roles and Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for: - Operating tractors for tasks such as topping, sowing, spreading, spraying, and cultivation - Feeding out silage, baleage, or hay - Spreading mineral supplements - Conducting general stock work - Assisting with dairy operations, including milking up to 700 cows - Supporting calving and ensuring the health of newborn calves - Aiding the team during the busy season, which runs from July to December - Maintaining farm equipment, infrastructure, laneways, and tracks - Adhering to safety and compliance standards on the farm Role Requirements To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria: - A minimum of 2 years' experience in tractor work; experience with stock work is an advantage - Strong English language skills and effective communication abilities - A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and receive feedback - Physical fitness and good health - Capability to pass a drug test - A full vehicle license - A valid visa that permits you to work for the same employer for six months Site Culture and Benefits We offer a supportive and experienced farm team and the opportunity to work in a beautiful location with access to outdoor activities and tourist attractions.
