About the Role
In this role, you will engage in a diverse range of construction projects, providing essential support to tradespeople and site managers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily tasks, performing general site labor duties such as cleaning, moving materials, and site preparation. We are looking for individuals who are alert, capable of taking direction, and willing to get involved in various aspects of the work. If you are reliable, committed, and eager to grow, this position offers an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting tradespeople and site managers with daily tasks
- Carrying out general site laboring duties, including cleaning, moving materials, and site preparation
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
- Operating hand and power tools as required
Days & Hours
This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with standard working hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some Saturday work may be available depending on specific project needs.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience on construction sites is preferred but not essential
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Possess a strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Must hold the legal right to work in New Zealand
Additional requirements include:
- Applicants may be required to complete a pre-employment drug test
- A valid Site Safe Passport or similar certification would be an advantage
