About the Role
We are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team at The Doctors Phoenix due to an internal promotion. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work each week from Monday to Friday. As a receptionist, you will report to the Reception Team Lead and play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have a positive healthcare experience.
Your responsibilities will include greeting and checking in patients upon arrival, managing incoming telephone calls, booking appointments both over the phone and in person, invoicing and collecting fees from patients, handling cash, and performing various administrative tasks as needed. We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is motivated to succeed.
Requirements

In addition, candidates should have experience in administration and working within teams. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not essential. A strong focus on reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail is crucial. Familiarity with the NZ Practice Management System is advantageous, as are proficient computer skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. The successful applicant will demonstrate flexibility in hours, a methodical approach to systems, and strong numerical and interpersonal skills.
