About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate Teacher in Training to join our supportive team. This permanent position offers 30 hours of work per week, with a rotating roster from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 6 pm. You will be primarily based in our preschool, where children aged 2 and older engage in meaningful exploration and relationship-building.
In this role, you will collaborate with whānau and kaiako to nurture a sense of curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. We welcome applications from individuals who are currently in their first year of a Level 7 ECE Bachelor’s program or those planning to begin their studies in 2026.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor’s program by 2026
- A genuine passion for quality teaching and child-led learning
- Familiarity with Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of practice
- Dedication to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday teaching practices
- Ability to work well in a team, coupled with enthusiasm, energy, and a love for learning
