About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Loader Operator to join our Asphalt Plant team at Parkburn Quarry in Central Otago, Cromwell. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth.
In this role, you will start by undergoing training, eventually focusing on operating the loader for our asphalt plant. Once you are fully trained, your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks such as:
- Operating the loader
- Assisting with asphalt plant operations
- Loading customers
- Performing basic daily maintenance
This diverse range of tasks ensures that no two days are the same, allowing you to gain valuable experience across various aspects of quarry and asphalt operations.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A Class 2 license with WTR endorsement is desired but not essential
- Previous knowledge or experience in asphalt operations is preferred but not mandatory
- Confidence in working with computers and numbers
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A mechanically and practically minded approach
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- A commitment to health and safety practices
- A team player with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
