About the Role
We are excited to offer a permanent position for a Senior Medical Officer in the dynamic Emergency Department at Middlemore Hospital, working at a 0.775 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). Our Emergency Department is one of the busiest in Australasia, with approximately 130,000 adult and pediatric presentations each year. You will play a vital role in leading our team, particularly in managing major trauma cases, as we serve a culturally diverse and high-needs population.
Middlemore Hospital is a Major Trauma Centre, treating around 300 major trauma patients annually. Our department is accredited by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) for 36 months of training as a mixed Tier 1 Emergency Department. You will work alongside dedicated Trauma, Burns, and Spinal Cord teams, ensuring high-quality care for our patients.
