About the Role
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Practitioner (GP) or Urgent Care Doctor to join our dynamic team in the Counties Manukau District Emergency Department. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for a duration of 12 months.

In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of medical providers, including Senior Medical Officers (SMO), Medical Officers (MOSS), Resident Medical Officers (RMO), and nurse practitioners. You will be responsible for delivering clinical care within the General Practice and Urgent Care scope for patients in both the adult and pediatric departments, while also contributing to the development and piloting of a fast-track model of care.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner in New Zealand, along with a current annual practicing certificate
- Vocational registration with either the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) or the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care (RNCUC)
- A minimum of four years of experience working in primary care within New Zealand
Benefits
At Health New Zealand, we prioritize our workforce's diversity and inclusivity to better serve our community. We invite individuals from all backgrounds who share our values and are passionate about working in our community to apply.
