About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Purchaser with over five years of experience in a supply chain role. This position will be based at our head office and will support 16 branches across New Zealand, reporting directly to the General Manager of Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have a background in a similar role within a business that handles large volumes of inventory and stock procurement. Responsibilities include: - Managing inventory, stock replenishment, demand, and indent requests - Processing purchase orders with our valued suppliers - Securing the most efficient shipping methods at competitive prices - Providing pricing, availability, and estimated delivery times to staff - Regularly reporting on purchasing activities and price variances - Monitoring stock levels and anticipating stock requirements to maintain sufficient inventory Requirements We are looking for someone who can thrive both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong commercial acumen. Key qualifications include: - Knowledge of DMS, ERP, and inventory forecasting systems - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel - Exceptional data entry skills with a focus on accuracy - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Benefits We believe in taking care of our employees.
