Are you passionate about teaching water safety to our youngest learners? We are looking for a Swim Teacher to join our local swim school in Timaru. If you enjoy working with babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, and know how to make learning both fun and safe, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
About the Role
In this position, you will lead engaging and safe swim lessons for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Your role will involve helping to build water confidence and foundational swimming skills through age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on structured and play-based swimming lessons for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for both children and caregivers.
- Foster water confidence and safety awareness through movement, games, and guided activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress and participation.
- Follow lesson plans aligned with our swim school’s programs.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times in and around the pool.
No Qualification Required – Just the Right Attitude!
