About the Role
We are currently seeking a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team at our Havelock North village. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, inviting, and dignified environment for our residents. As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our residents feel comfortable and safe, making their living experience truly enjoyable.
In this position, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Performing high-quality cleaning in resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities
- Laundering, folding, and returning residents’ clothing and linens with care and attention
- Labeling, mending, and maintaining residents' personal laundry items
- Supporting infection control measures and adhering to health and safety procedures
- Building friendly and respectful relationships with residents to understand their unique needs
This is a part-time position, totaling 15 hours per week.
Requirements
You will be a great fit for this role if you:
- Have experience in housekeeping, preferably in healthcare or hospitality
- Take pride in your work and pay attention to detail
- Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
- Possess a genuine interest in aged care, with no prior experience necessary as full training will be provided
