About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Structural Steel Erectors for significant commercial projects in southwest Christchurch. In this role, you will join a skilled and dedicated team working with a well-regarded construction company known for undertaking large-scale builds, such as warehouses and commercial facilities. This hands-on position involves the installation of structural steel, site preparation, and working at heights. Requirements - A minimum of 3 years' experience as a steel erector or rigger - Ability to work at heights and be physically fit - Current Site Safe and WAH/Safety Harness certifications - Welding or fabrication tickets are a bonus, but not essential - Must have your own hand and battery tools (larger saws will be provided) - Strong awareness of site safety protocols - Ability to provide recent work references - All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand What You Will Be Doing - Installing structural steel and strengthening components - Working at heights using cranes and Hiabs - Reading and interpreting site drawings - Measuring and preparing for installations - Problem-solving and collaborating on-site - Contributing to the construction of large warehouse and commercial structures Benefits - Competitive wages ranging from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience - Immediate start available - Opportunity to work with a respected commercial construction company - Ongoing full-time employment on major projects - Monday to Friday schedule with optional Saturday work - Access to training and upskilling opportunities - Supportive small team environment Why Choose Max People?
