About the Role
In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and delivering structural engineering projects across the South Island. Your responsibilities will range from concept design to construction monitoring. You will lead technical work, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong relationships with our clients.
You can expect to work on a variety of projects, including:
- Residential, commercial, and light industrial developments
- Seismic assessments and strengthening projects
- Diverse and technically challenging structural designs
Your Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and documentation through all project stages
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and external consultants
- Mentor and support junior engineers and drafters
- Contribute to proposals and assist in identifying new opportunities
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand codes and industry best practices
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, including experience in New Zealand
- A proven track record of delivering projects in New Zealand
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working towards it
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand codes and standards
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
