Class 4 Delivery Driver

About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Class 4 Driver to join our team in Christchurch. This full-time position is intended to cover for an employee who is off due to injury. The role typically involves working Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts depending on available work. While this position is initially for a minimum of one month, there is potential for extension and further opportunities within our company. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will be responsible for delivering building-related materials across Christchurch along a designated metro route. Your duties will include loading and unloading your truck, so being physically fit is essential. You will also ensure that all goods are transported safely and securely while providing excellent customer service during deliveries. Additionally, maintaining vehicle logs and adhering to health and safety regulations will be key aspects of your role. What We're Looking For We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - A valid Class 4 Full License - Hiab experience and certification (desirable) - Forklift F endorsement with OSH certification (desirable) - A collaborative team player with a positive attitude - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - A proven awareness of health and safety requirements - Physical fitness for occasional heavy lifting and manual handling What We Offer In addition to a supportive team environment, this role may present opportunities for additional work in the future.
