About the Role
We are excited to announce that our team is expanding, and we are looking for cleaners to join us at the University of Auckland on a casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in various areas, including office spaces, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
Your duties will also involve cleaning internal public spaces such as corridors, lifts, and stairwells, as well as replenishing consumables in both staff and public toilets and kitchen areas. This position requires self-motivation and integrity to work independently, along with strong time management skills to complete tasks to a high standard.
We value excellent customer service and positive communication with clients and building users. As a reliable team player, you will bring individual competence and maturity to our team.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in cleaning is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
- A National Police clearance issued within the last 12 months is required.
- You should be self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in your work.
- Professional presentation and strong customer service skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required.
- Physical fitness and energy are important for this role.
- Reliability and self-motivation are key traits we seek.
- You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
- A clean criminal background is necessary, and relevant checks will be conducted.
- Access to a reliable mode of transport for commuting to work is required.
