About the Role We are currently expanding our team and looking for full-time cleaners to join us at the University of Auckland. This role is offered on a fixed-term basis and involves a variety of cleaning tasks. Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in office areas, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces. You will also be responsible for cleaning internal public areas, corridors, lifts, and stairwells. Additionally, your duties will involve replenishing consumables in staff and public toilets and kitchen areas. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and manage their time effectively to complete tasks to a high standard. Providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive communication with clients and building users is crucial. We seek a reliable team player who demonstrates individual competence and maturity. Requirements To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria: - Previous cleaning experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided. - A National Police clearance issued within the last 12 months is required. - Self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate initiative on the job. - Professional presentation and strong customer service skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. - Physical fitness and energy to perform cleaning tasks. - Reliability and a strong sense of motivation. - Valid New Zealand work rights. - A clean criminal background; necessary checks will be conducted. - Access to reliable transportation for commuting to work.
