About the Role We are currently seeking a highly motivated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team, with the option to be based in either Auckland or Christchurch. In this role, you will be instrumental in leading our safety and sustainability initiatives across the organization nationwide. What You'll Do As the HSE Manager, you will be the driving force behind our safety culture, spearheading our strategy, systems, and engagement efforts both internally with staff and externally with contractors, suppliers, and HSE professionals. Your key responsibilities will include: Promoting a Safety Culture You will model best practices in HSE leadership and provide expert, practical advice throughout the business. You will champion health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, fostering strong engagement with employees, contractors, and suppliers. Your efforts will contribute to a positive, proactive safety culture through effective training, communication, and support. Systems & Policies You will develop, implement, and continually improve HSE systems, policies, and procedures. Staying updated with New Zealand regulations, industry codes of practice, and best practice standards will be essential. You will lead investigations, audits, and reporting to ensure compliance and facilitate continual improvement. Additionally, you will oversee risk management and workplace safety initiatives, focusing on critical risk mitigation. Developing and delivering HSE training programs for employees and managing environmental impact assessments will also be part of your role. Customer Service & Leadership Building strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business will be key. You will provide guidance and support to managers and teams, effectively resolving HSE challenges. Some travel across our nationwide dealerships may be required. About You We are looking for an experienced safety leader who possesses both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have: - A minimum of 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in the transport, automotive, or similar industries - A strong working knowledge of New Zealand HSE legislation and best practices - Proven experience in critical risk mitigation - Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills - Strong analytical abilities with experience in data-driven reporting and solutions - Relevant tertiary or professional qualification in Health & Safety or Management Why Join Keith Andrews?
