Senior Security Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a highly collaborative Senior Security Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of key duties, including but not limited to: - Developing security scripts - Delivering security projects - Collaborating with developers to ensure the security of pipelines - Contributing to the creation of our security architecture - Mentoring and training junior colleagues - Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends in the security space - Handling ad-hoc duties as required Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience: - Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Cloud, Sentinel, and Defender - Previous experience in a similar role within a complex working environment - Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience in mentoring and training colleagues - A solid understanding of networks is highly advantageous - Relevant security qualifications are preferred - Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus Please note that this role is based in Wellington's Central Business District. We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement, and candidates must be located in the Wellington region and possess the legal right to work in New Zealand.
