About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time Security Team Member to join our Profit Protection Team, with hours from Tuesday to Saturday. Your schedule will be as follows: - Tuesday: 11:30 AM to 7:15 PM - Wednesday: 6:30 AM to 2:15 PM - Thursday: 11:30 AM to 7:15 PM - Friday: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM - Saturday: 7:30 AM to 6:15 PM In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security and safety of our team, inventory, and customers. You will also play a vital role in welcoming customers as they enter the store, making them feel valued and appreciated. The position requires quick thinking and strong interpersonal skills, as well as a good level of physical fitness, since you will be on your feet for most of the day. Acting as a vigilant presence in the store, you will work to prevent theft and damage, while also being ready to assist customers with their inquiries, much like a Sales Team Member. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes: - Strong awareness of surroundings and attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Assertiveness paired with a polite and helpful demeanor - Confidence in challenging individuals when necessary - Initiative when tackling tasks and projects - Ability to adapt and respond to unexpected situations - Good physical fitness level - Capability to work both independently and collaboratively - Proficiency with computer systems - Experience and confidence using CCTV and other monitoring equipment This role is crucial to our Mitre 10 MEGA Porirua store. Our Profit Protection Department plays a key role in maintaining a high focus on retail loss prevention.
