About the Role
We are hiring full-time Aluminum Fabricators to support a variety of project work throughout New Zealand. In this role, you will work on diverse construction and fabrication sites, with specific locations determined by project demand. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with fabrication experience who are open to relocating or traveling as required.
Key Responsibilities
As an Aluminum Fabricator, your responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating, assembling, and installing aluminum components and structures
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Operating hand and power tools relevant to aluminum fabrication
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Traveling between different worksites as dictated by project deployment
Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in aluminum fabrication, either locally or internationally
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Skills in welding, cutting, and shaping aluminum materials
- A trade qualification or NZQA-recognized experience is preferred
- The ability to work independently and travel between job sites
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this position is listed in Southland, we are actively recruiting for roles that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, based on project requirements. These regions include:
North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.
South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
We welcome applicants from any of these regions, and candidates must be willing to travel or relocate as necessary. Please note that relocation costs will be covered by our company.
Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24.00 to $28.00, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. These are full-time, permanent roles, and we provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools where required. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
