About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Infant Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. In this role, you will provide specialized psychological assessment and treatment for children and young people facing moderate to severe mental health challenges. Your work will primarily focus on individual therapy, while also involving primary caregivers as appropriate, in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team. You will play a vital role in supporting the management team in the ongoing development and implementation of the Strengths Model Recovery Approach within our Mental Health and Addiction Service.
About the Team/Service/Location
This position is situated within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team, located on the hospital campus on High Street. Our small team of part-time psychologists is dedicated to delivering assessments and therapy for children and youth. We pride ourselves on a strong multi-disciplinary approach that fosters holistic care and support for our clients. Additionally, we maintain robust connections with local schools, non-governmental organizations, and community services, enhancing the support we provide.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in conducting assessments, including psychometric and neuropsychological evaluations. You should be adept at developing clinical formulations and providing recommendations for effective interventions. Furthermore, establishing methods to evaluate the efficacy of treatments will be a key aspect of your role.
This opportunity is open to registered Clinical Psychologists in New Zealand who hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).

Salary Range
This role is governed by the terms and conditions of a Collective Agreement. The salary will be determined in accordance with the Pay Scale and will depend on your relevant experience.
