About the Role
We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to provide practical, effective, and professional health and safety guidance to our operational teams at Fliway and SCS. In this role, you will foster a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, and drive continuous improvement in systems and behaviors to effectively manage critical risks in a transport and logistics environment.
What You Will Bring to the Role
To be successful in this position, you should have:
- A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, such as a New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice Level 4 or higher.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within transport, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing sectors.
- ICAM or equivalent investigation training is desirable.
- A valid New Zealand driver’s license is essential.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry standards, particularly in transport and logistics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- A proactive problem-solving mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Competency in using safety management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
