About the Role
We are seeking an energetic Early Childhood Education (ECE) Team Leader to join our team on a permanent basis. This role involves working 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
We are looking for someone who possesses a natural ability to lead a team while fostering a positive team culture. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating inspiring learning spaces for tamariki to flourish. Additionally, strengths in developing thoughtful individual learning plans and conducting internal evaluations are essential. Building strong and lasting relationships with whānau and the wider community is a key aspect of this role.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A qualification in early childhood or primary education, along with current New Zealand teacher registration and certification.
- The ability to demonstrate and implement Te Tiriti-based practices.
- An understanding of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori, or a willingness to further develop in this area.
- A sound understanding of Te Whāriki and a proven ability to assess and plan for children’s learning.
- Strong teaching practice with demonstrated experience in leading a team.
As the ECE Team Leader, you will play a vital role in shaping high-quality learning experiences, strengthening teaching practices, and fostering a collaborative team culture. This leadership position is crucial, and we are committed to finding the right person to inspire and lead our team.
