About the Role We are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will play an essential part in the daily operations of our center, working alongside qualified Kaiako to support the needs of our tamariki. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting tamariki during daily routines, meal times, and sleep times - Supervising and engaging children in play and educational experiences - Meeting the basic needs of the children in your care - Building strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues - Contributing to a positive team environment and being open to learning This is a permanent position offering 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. While an early childhood education qualification is not mandatory, experience working with children under five, particularly infants and toddlers, is essential. You will be primarily based in one of two rooms: either the Ngā Puāwai Room, which caters to children aged 2 to 5 years, or the Ngā Tipu Room, focused on our youngest learners. In the Ngā Tipu Room, you will ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. For both age groups, we are looking for someone who is patient, flexible, dedicated, and committed to building strong relationships with children and their whānau.
