About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the position of STMS (Site Traffic Management Supervisor) within our Transport and Infrastructure business. This role will be based in Hamilton, where you will support the 'Connect Hamilton' contract. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the delivery of a safe, reliable, and sustainable roading network.
As an STMS, you will ensure the accurate implementation of temporary traffic management plans and oversee the setup and dismantling of road closures and diversions. You will lead toolbox meetings and closure briefings with the crew, providing clear job details and expectations to the Traffic Management Operators. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to train and upskill our Traffic Controllers and junior STMS personnel, ensuring the safety of our team, subcontractors, and the general public.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should enjoy working outdoors and be on your feet throughout the day. A proactive attitude and strong leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to engage and motivate your team. Key qualifications include:
- STMS Cat A/B Practicing or 1 Warrant (preferred)
- A valid Full Class 2 license
- Reliability, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills
- A commitment to maintaining safe work practices
