    General Manager - Taupo Hospital Permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE / 64 hours per fortnight) Monday to Friday Based in Taupo Hospital We are excited to announce an opportunity for a General Manager at Taupo Hospital. This position is part of our dedicated and multidisciplinary team at Health New Zealand Lakes, which encompasses both Rotorua and Taupo Hospitals. About the Role In this role, you will report to the Group Director of Operations at Rotorua Hospital. You will be instrumental in fostering connections with the local community and collaborating with various government agencies. The Lakes District operates on a one hospital, two-site model, with Taupo Hospital hosting resident staff and a diverse group of visiting clinicians, including doctors and allied health professionals. Our facility features 15 inpatient beds and a busy emergency department that serves approximately 19,000 patients annually. We are committed to addressing the healthcare needs of our local population, which exceeds 40,000 residents. Additionally, we provide robust community-based mental health services, 19 outpatient rooms, CT and plain film services, echocardiography, a primary birthing unit, and oral health services. Beyond maintaining a local presence, you will support staff and drive the integration of services at Taupo. Your role will also involve overseeing the development, delivery, and change management of new initiatives. While a clinical background may be beneficial, it is essential to have experience in health service management along with the ability to engage in both staff and line management.
