About the Role
We are currently seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to join our dedicated team at our Riccarton location. This position requires flexibility, as we need availability for both weekdays and weekends, particularly during our busy summer period from November to February. As a casual role, specific days and hours will be assigned based on our needs, with advance notice provided.

About You
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring individual who excels in customer service and embodies integrity and care. Our customers are at the heart of our business, and we value entrepreneurial sales skills that help provide extraordinary service. You will work collaboratively with our friendly team to uphold a disciplined approach to retail.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining proper health and safety standards for both the team and customers
- Delivering exceptional customer service and providing tailored product solutions
- Gaining a thorough understanding of our product range through in-house and external training, as well as supplier updates to stay informed about industry trends
- Ongoing merchandising of the store to ensure product availability
- Operating the Point of Sale system for various customer transactions
- Assisting with the unloading, processing, and storage of stock
- Performing general housekeeping duties to enhance the customer experience
- Working cooperatively with team members
The ideal candidate will:
- Have personal or professional experience and a strong interest in the fishing, marine, or motorhome industries
- Be eager to contribute to our strong customer service culture
- Preferably have prior retail or customer service experience
- Be hands-on and comfortable in an active role
- Be available to work alternate weekends and some public holidays
