About the Role We are excited to offer an opportunity for an intermediate level physiotherapist to join our acute inpatient orthopaedic surgical team at Hawke's Bay Hospital. This permanent, full-time position involves working 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE) within our well-established orthopaedic and surgical service. In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a patient-centered environment, dealing with both trauma and elective orthopaedics, as well as general surgical and vascular cases across a broad age range. While the position presents challenges, it is also incredibly rewarding as you play a vital role in the recovery journey of our patients. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has completed junior rotations and is seeking their next career step in a supportive setting. About the Team/Service/Location Our dynamic physiotherapy and allied health teams are dedicated to engaging patients and their whanau in their care, empowering them to take control of their health and well-being. We focus on setting up consumers to manage long-term conditions or acute illnesses effectively, helping them develop or adapt their skills, strengths, and abilities. About You We are looking for a candidate with outstanding clinical skills and a passion for working in fast-paced acute environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to support and develop others are essential qualities for this role. The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills and attributes: - Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent - New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate (APC) - A clean, full NZ driver's license - Effective communication skills - Ability to build rapport and maintain constructive relationships - A positive attitude with a focus on problem-solving Working at Health New Zealand At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
