About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator or Advisor to join our team as a People & Culture Administrator on a part-time basis, working 20 hours per week. This role offers an opportunity to engage deeply with our mission as you contribute to shaping a workplace that prioritizes compassion and professionalism.
In this position, you will report directly to the Workforce & Community Engagement Lead and play a crucial role in the daily HR operations and culture-building initiatives within our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of functions, including recruitment, onboarding, policy support, and compliance reporting, ensuring that our staff and volunteers are well-supported and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Prepare employment agreements and maintain accurate employment records
- Oversee the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and assist with payroll administration
- Monitor compliance and support reporting related to People & Culture and Health & Safety
- Support the development of people-focused initiatives, including engagement, recognition, and well-being programs
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates with prior experience as an HR administrator, ideally complemented by a tertiary qualification. Experience within values-driven or not-for-profit organizations is advantageous.
Key qualifications include:
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, HRIS, and employment processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational abilities
