About the Company At Civic Waste, we pride ourselves on being a long-standing provider of essential services to cities across New Zealand. Our work involves contracting with councils and private companies for various services, including waste removal, road and hard surface sweeping, graffiti removal, water blasting, and pavement cleaning. We are dedicated to maintaining clean and safe environments for our communities. About the Role We are currently seeking candidates for two available roles that involve the proactive and responsive removal of graffiti, as outlined in daily schedules. This includes tasks assigned by the Auckland Council Call Centre and directives from management. The successful candidate will operate mechanical equipment such as water blasters, disk sanders, generators, and chemical washing tools. Additionally, you will contribute to our team’s target of removing 1,000 tags per week. The roles are scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with one position available for Thursday to Monday and the other for Monday to Friday, which may include some weekend work. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel as well as commuting to and from the workplace. Requirements We are looking for applicants who possess the following skills and attributes: - Experience in water blasting or paint spraying is preferred - A current driver's license (minimum Restricted) - Physical fitness and the ability to work independently - Excellent communication and timekeeping skills - A positive and professional attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure - Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances - A customer-focused mindset The hourly rate for this role is $24.70, with an opportunity to earn a monthly bonus of $200.
