About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our Hastings Branch. This is a pivotal time for our team as CablePrice has recently been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. In this role, you will leverage your diagnostic and mechanical skills to service, maintain, and repair a diverse range of heavy machinery, primarily within the forestry and construction sectors. We are looking for a mechanical trades professional who is dedicated to providing quality and efficient service while being willing to go the extra mile in this critical support position. Requirements To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes: - A strong commitment to health and safety, which is our top priority at CablePrice. We prioritize looking after ourselves and each other. - A Heavy Diesel and/or relevant Automotive Qualification. - Previous experience with Tigercat equipment is advantageous. - Mechanical capability and technical skills, particularly in diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles. - Excellent diagnostic abilities coupled with analytical thinking to address the complex challenges that arise in our daily operations. - Proficiency in computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset. - A 'can-do' attitude that reflects resilience and reliability in challenging situations.
