About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our Gisborne team in a permanent full-time capacity. The role involves working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with an additional Saturday shift from 9 AM to 12 PM every other week.
In this position, you will play a vital role in our branch operations, reporting directly to the Branch Manager. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers at the Trade Counter, handling Inwards Goods, performing Cycle Counting and stock rotation, managing customer deliveries, and assisting with loading and unloading. You will have the opportunity to work across various areas of the branch, ensuring a dynamic and varied work experience.
About You
While a plumbing background is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. We are looking for candidates with proven experience in customer service or retail sales environments.
To succeed in this role, you should be physically fit, as some heavy lifting will be involved. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Building rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds is crucial, and we value motivation, independence, and a strong focus on performance.
Competency in computer and numeracy skills is necessary, along with the ability to think proactively and handle pressure. A full New Zealand driver's license is required, and a forklift license is an advantage.
