Our team is committed to delivering high-quality services while prioritizing health and safety. We are currently seeking an experienced Painter Foreman to join us in leading our projects and team.
About the Role
As a Painter Foreman, you will step into a leadership position where you will supervise both commercial and residential painting projects. Your responsibilities will include maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and overseeing daily site activities. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $30-$35, a company van for your convenience, and a Monday to Friday work schedule starting at 7:00 am.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of painters on various projects, ensuring high quality, safety, and timeline compliance.
- Coordinate daily site activities and allocate tasks efficiently.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, and finishing work to high standards when required.
- Monitor adherence to health and safety procedures and site requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and management to keep projects on track.
Skills and Experience Required
- A minimum of 10 years of painting experience, with proven leadership or foreman responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
- A reliable, motivated individual who can work independently or as part of a team.
Certificates and Licences
Legally Required:
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Hazardous Substances Handling Training (if applicable)
- Full NZ Driver's Licence (Class 1 minimum)
Industry Standard / Preferred:
- Site Safe Passport (Painting & Decorating or Building Construction)
- First Aid Certificate (NZQA 6401 & 6402)
- EWP (Elevating Work Platform) Certificate
- Confined Spaces Training (if relevant to project work)
- Supervisor Gold Card (Site Safe)
- NZ Certificate in Painting & Decorating (Level 4) or equivalent trade qualification
