About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Interior Painter to undertake a comprehensive interior repaint of a home in Hamilton Lake before it is listed on the market. This position requires an individual who can work independently and efficiently, particularly in high-ceiling areas where scaffolding will be provided. Your focus will be on delivering a high-quality finish from the preparation stage through to the final coat. What You Will Be Doing In this role, you will be responsible for: - Preparing walls and surfaces for painting, which includes tasks such as removing wallpaper, stripping old paint, and cleaning dust and dirt. - Selecting appropriate tools, ladders, drop sheets, and paints for the project. - Using fillers, including putty and plaster, to repair cracks and fill holes. - Preparing, mixing, and applying paints as needed. - Applying plaster coatings to plasterboard to conceal imperfections and joins. - Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and keeping tools in good condition. What You Will Need To be considered for this position, you should possess: - A minimum of 3 years of residential painting experience. - Experience in applying both paint and plaster. - Knowledge of the proper handling and application of various types of paints, stains, lacquers, and polished plaster. - Familiarity with applicable health and safety standards. - Reliability and the ability to work independently without supervision. - Strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail. - A commitment to health and safety practices. - Access to your own transport.
