About the Role We are currently seeking a Senior Design Estimator – Electrical to join our team in Waikato. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to advance their career in the Energy Network and Renewables sector. You will be responsible for preparing competitive estimates for major operations and maintenance projects in the electrical field. In collaboration with management and operations teams, you will develop compelling proposals and pricing strategies aligned with client objectives. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and updating estimating procedures and pricing models. - Engaging and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers. - Contributing to tender clarifications and participating in client meetings. - Working on projects ranging in value from $5K to $10M. About You The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background accompanied by hands-on operations experience. We are looking for someone who possesses: - A minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience in New Zealand. - Experience in sectors such as Distribution, Industrial, Communications, Power Generation, or Transmission. - A proven ability to scope, develop methodologies, and understand project delivery requirements. - Familiarity with NZS 3910:2013. - Experience using CATS or similar estimating tools is preferred.
