About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Welder Engineer to join our operational team at the Bluff Port. This hands-on position involves fabrication, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of heavy off-road machinery, including loaders, material handlers, and terminal tractors. You will be provided with the necessary tools, equipment, and support to excel in this role.
Location: Bluff Port
Status: Full-time, 4 on 4 off roster, working from 0600 to 1800
Specific Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repairs on heavy machinery and port equipment.
- Monitor and replace worn attachments and components.
- Provide technical input to enhance component quality and longevity.
- Maintain a safe work environment and promptly report any incidents.
Who We're After
We are looking for candidates who are Level 4 Trade Certified and have a proven track record of working with heavy vehicles and machinery. A minimum Class 2 License is required. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently as well as part of a small team, demonstrating a positive and proactive attitude.
