About the Role
As a Fibre Technician, you will play a vital role in the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of fibre optic networks for both residential and commercial clients. This position involves working independently and collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless connectivity and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and splice fibre optic cables including FTTH, FTTN, and FTTB.
- Perform fault finding, testing, and repairs on fibre networks.
- Interpret network plans and documentation accurately.
- Liaise effectively with clients and contractors on-site.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in fibre optic installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of OTDR testing and fibre splicing techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A full New Zealand driver's licence.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Relevant certifications, such as Chorus accreditations, would be an advantage.
