About the Role We are currently looking for a qualified or equally experienced Butcher to join our dedicated team at New World Wanaka. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly cutting, trimming, and preparing a wide variety of meats to the highest standards. You will provide exceptional customer service by advising customers on the best cuts and preparation methods. Additionally, you will maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked butchery department while adhering to all food safety, health and safety, and hygiene regulations. You will also assist with the training and development of junior butchery staff and collaborate with the wider store team to ensure efficient operations. Requirements We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - Must be qualified or have a minimum of three years of equivalent experience in butchery. - Reliable, honest, and a good team player. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. - Confident and mature enough to work independently at times. This is a permanent full-time position, requiring availability from Tuesday to Saturday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.
