About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Technician or Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant to join our Theatre team at Timaru Hospital. This position offers part-time to full-time hours, ranging from 64 to 80 hours per fortnight, with negotiable hours available. The role includes rostered shifts from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of on-call duties.
As a member of our Operating Theatre service, you will be part of a supportive and dynamic team. Your responsibilities will involve assisting in various peri-operative situations while upholding the highest standards of patient care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current Medical Science Council (MSC) approved Registered Anaesthetic Technician practicing certificate or a Registered Nurse with Anaesthetic Assistant Qualification and Practicing Certificate
- A minimum of one to two years of relevant technical experience
- Knowledge of the legislation and standards governing healthcare practice in New Zealand
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
