This greater purpose drives everything we do. About the Role As a Lifeguard at the AC Baths, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our pool visitors. With our facilities more popular than ever, your responsibilities will include: - Performing general lifeguarding duties to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers - Supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations at the pools We offer comprehensive training and a living wage, along with a range of benefits, including subsidized gym memberships and various partnership discounts. We have full-time positions available, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week on a rotating roster. Please note that these roles are classified as safety-sensitive, and a pre-employment drug test will be required. As part of the interview process, candidates will also be required to complete a timed 200-meter swim. Who We Are Looking For We are seeking individuals who have a passion for aquatics and a desire to share their knowledge and experience with both customers and colleagues to enhance water safety. Ideal candidates will be excellent communicators, mature, and committed to making a positive impact in our local community. This role is best suited for resilient individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a dedicated and energetic team, responsible for maintaining a positive Health and Safety culture across our indoor and outdoor pool areas. While holding a current First Aid Certificate and a Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate is advantageous, we also welcome confident swimmers who are eager to start a career in this field, as we will provide the necessary training to help you qualify as a Lifeguard. Please keep in mind that our pools operate seven days a week, so reliability and a commitment to working early, late, and some weekend shifts are essential.
