Our team values professionalism, integrity, and teamwork, and we are excited to expand our operations by bringing on a skilled Carpet & Vinyl Layer who is ready to take on a Foreman-style role. About the Role In this position, you will have the opportunity to blend hands-on installation work with operational support. Your responsibilities will include installing carpet, vinyl, and vinyl planks in various settings, as well as preparing subfloors, cutting and fitting materials, and ensuring high-quality finishes. You will supervise job sites, conduct quality checks, and coordinate with builders, contractors, and clients. Additionally, you will assist with daily job tracking, scheduling, and light paperwork. When necessary, you will step in with tools to support the team during busy times. We expect you to represent our company professionally on every project. Requirements We are looking for candidates who have proven experience in flooring, with a focus on carpet and vinyl. You should be confident, honest, and able to lead by example. The ability to work independently while following clear directions is essential, along with strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit. Attention to detail and pride in workmanship are crucial attributes for this role. A full New Zealand Driver's Licence is required, and you should be comfortable working on a variety of sites, including Kīanga Ora, residential new builds, and commercial jobs. We appreciate individuals who value a respectful and down-to-earth team culture. Schedule Our working hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Benefits We offer a supportive and tight-knit team environment, with a solid work ethic. The starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $32 to $40, depending on your experience. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel, and you will benefit from a steady pipeline of work across both residential and commercial sectors.
