About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Manager to join our team in Palmerston North. In this hands-on position, you will oversee the daily operations of our depot, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes. Reporting directly to the Delivery Manager – Western Logistics, you will actively participate in the day-to-day functions of the warehouse, which include receiving and issuing goods, managing inventory, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring smooth operations.
Your key responsibilities will involve:
- Actively participating in daily warehouse operations, including receiving and issuing goods, inventory management, and cycle counts.
- Ensuring operational efficiency, improving key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, safety, and service.
- Utilizing systems such as JDE, RFGen, and Excel to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Demonstrating strong planning and organizational skills to manage daily workflows and resources effectively, while adapting to unexpected challenges.
- Communicating effectively with team members, managing workflow, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of warehouse management experience.
- A results-driven mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Leadership and communication skills to effectively guide and support your team.
- A solid understanding of warehouse systems and best practices.
- Experience with JDE, warehouse RF scanning, and proficiency in Excel.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality workplace.
- A current fork hoist license and a clean Class 1 motor vehicle license.
- Flexibility regarding working hours.
