About the Role
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team in a fixed-term position from early July to mid-October. In this role, you will play a vital part in rearing the next generation of high-performing dairy cattle. Your primary responsibilities will include caring for young calves, monitoring their health and welfare, and ensuring they receive proper nutrition.
Animal wellbeing is our top priority, and we expect you to uphold our high welfare standards. Additionally, you may assist with milking the herd and performing general farm duties. Flexibility is essential, as work hours may vary based on seasonal demands. This position is a drive-in/drive-out role, so reliable transportation is required. We guarantee a minimum of twenty hours of work per week.
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive and takes pride in their work, particularly in maintaining hygiene and ensuring the well-being of the calves from birth. Your qualifications should include:
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to health and safety, as well as animal welfare
- Experience in calf rearing or farming (preferred), or a willingness to learn
- Comfort working outdoors and being physically fit
- A restricted or full driver’s license
