About the Role
We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Adolescent Mental Health Team in Tauranga. In this permanent full-time position, you will have the opportunity to work with Rangatahi aged 13 to 18 years and their whanau. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists to provide comprehensive support.
Your responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments, formulating diagnoses, and providing therapeutic interventions for children within our service. Our approach includes a well-defined pathway for psychological intervention, addressing a variety of challenges such as trauma, mental health issues, and neurodevelopmental disorders. We also offer opportunities for professional development through hospital-wide forums for psychologists and psychiatrists.
Our commitment to implementing high-standard therapeutic models includes essential training and ongoing supervision to support our staff in their professional growth.
About You
To be a successful candidate for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Be a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist.
- Have completed postgraduate training in clinical psychology, along with other relevant qualifications.
- Possess experience in psychological assessments for children and adolescents presenting with diverse mental health conditions, including trauma and attachment difficulties, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Demonstrate expertise in complex formulation and treatment planning.
- Exhibit competence in trauma-informed practices.
- Show proficiency in working with neurodivergent individuals.
- Uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your practice.
