About the Role We are currently seeking a positive and confident Mental Health Assistant to join our close-knit team in the Acute Mental Health unit, specifically Ward 9B. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in supporting our Nurses and other healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting with patient movement and care as required - Maintaining stock reconciliation and ward upkeep - Supervising patients, including providing one-on-one care as needed - Performing duties on a rostered shift basis, which may include weekends If you are interested in this position, please refer to the full position description for more details. About You The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A full driver's license - Confidence and physical capability to assist consumers - Adaptability to a changing environment - Basic computer literacy - Experience in the health sector is advantageous If you are eager to gain valuable experience in the mental health field and make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply. Requirements This role offers a salary range of $59,024 to $74,442 per annum, pro-rata, depending on relevant experience. The position is subject to the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and aligns with the MHA Pay Scale.
