About the Role
We are currently seeking a positive and confident Mental Health Assistant to join our close-knit team in the Acute Mental Health unit, specifically Ward 9B. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in supporting our Nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with patient movement and care as required
- Maintaining stock reconciliation and ward upkeep
- Supervising patients, including providing one-on-one care as needed
- Performing duties on a rostered shift basis, which may include weekends

About You
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A full driver's license
- Confidence and physical capability to assist consumers
- Adaptability to a changing environment
- Basic computer literacy
- Experience in the health sector is advantageous

Requirements
This role offers a salary range of $59,024 to $74,442 per annum, pro-rata, depending on relevant experience. The position is subject to the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and aligns with the MHA Pay Scale.
